Hey all! As usual, we had another busy week here in the Stedge household!
I started the week off with the worst stomach bug of all time! I had to stay home for work for the first time EVER due to my own sickness! I hated having to cancel my classes, but I couldn’t leave my puke bucket for longer than 30 minutes without needing it suddenly! It was horrible, but thankfully it only lasted 12 hours. I woke up Tuesday feeling fine, just depleted since I couldn’t eat anything on Monday. I finished the week on a high note though by going with my family to Bear Lake on a little mini vacation! We originally booked to go there because of my 70.3 triathlon. Even though I deferred that race, we still decided to go since we’d booked lodging and we wanted to visit anyway! We had a great time even though the weather was chilly.
As far as pregnancy goes, here’s the latest update:
Exercise: Man, it gone thrown off Monday and Tuesday with the stomach bug, but overall my week went well for exercising. I had to skip my bike ride on Monday due to puking, and due to lack of calories, I decided to take Tuesday off as well and switch my running days to Wed, Fri, Sat. I typically swim on Tuesdays, so I skipped swimming this week as well. I was able to get in one bike ride and one lifting day though. My “long” run on Saturday was yet again unsuccessful though :/ I only made it 5 mile before my round ligament rejected me… I have a plan for next Saturday though, so I’m going to try again!
How I’m feeling: Honestly, great! My back never hurts, my belly isn’t that heavy yet, and I can still sleep well at night! Other than the round ligament issue during running, I still wouldn’t even notice I’m pregnant!
Weight gain: At my dr’s appointment this week, my weight gain was still at 7.6lbs.
Appointments: We found out the gender this week! Reveal coming soon You can start guessing now!
Clothes: I’m still not fully committed to maternity shirts, and my maternity pants are still too big. Some of my normal pants are on the tight side now though, so I have to wear my pants that were formerly a bit loose on the waist.
Races: Next race is in October! It’s a 13.1 so I really hope I can still do it by then, but if not then I’ll drop down to the 5 or 10k.
And here’s the 21 week bump!
So there you have it! Just over half-way and still chugging along!
