Hello long, lost readers! I apologize for my MONTHS of silence! Truthfully, when we moved to Utah, blogging got put on the bottom of my priority list, and I just never got around to it. However, a new year brings new motivation, so I’m going to try to get back into blogging! It may not be regular, but I do want to chronicle my training life, and I’ve got some exciting races coming up in 2017, so I’ll definitely be writing about those! So, to start the year off right, here are some highlights from 2016 and my plans for 2017.
Highlights from 2016:
June: Moving to Utah! We LOVE it out here!!
August: Starting my new job!
October: Running my first road race in Utah, a half-marathon, and placing 1st overall female and getting yet another PR!
November: Spending Thanksgiving with my family and running a Turkey Trot with them!
December: Finding out I was accepted as a Hammer Nutrition athlete for a 5th year! I was super excited that they were willing to support me for another year, and I’m excited to represent them again!
Plans for 2017:
I’m excited for my first full year in Utah, and look forward to getting in some epic races out here! Here’s what I have on my schedule so far:
February: Running the Moab Red Hot 33k with one of my friends from Ohio! She is coming out to visit us and wanted to do a trail race!
May: Ogden Marathon! This will be my first marathon at elevation so I’m excited to see how it goes!
June: Some half-Ironman distance triathlon….I haven’t picked one just yet, but I know I’ll do one! I need to get back into REAL triathlons!
So, there you have it! Finished 2016 pretty strong, and I’m excited to see what 2017 holds!
