Recovery Recipes

When you do as many workouts a day as I do, you need to make sure you’re recovering appropriately. You’ve heard me say before that Hammer Nutrition’s Recoverite is my favorite go-to product for recovery. However, sometimes it can get boring just mixing it with water or milk after a workout. Sometimes, I like to mix it with different things to add some variety!

Here are some of my favorite recovery recipes.

1) “Ice cream”! This is my favorite recipe to do when I want to feel like I’m eating ice cream :) I usually make this after an evening workouts. It’s 1 frozen banana, 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt, a tiny bit of milk, 1 spoonful of peanut butter, and then Recoverite! image-13


2) Recoverite shake. This one has yogurt, banana, 1/2 cup of coffee, walnuts, and Recoverite. I love this one! It tastes like a frozen latte. :) IMG_0811


3) Fruit smoothie. For this, I use 1 can of V8 fusion, frozen strawberries, bananas, and mangos, and Recoverite. I use chocolate for this, but I would imagine their fruity flavors would be even better!

4) Mint chocolate. For this, you use fresh mint, cocoa, chocolate Hammer Whey (or Recoverite), frozen banana, and almond milk.
