Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a good weekend! I spent the majority of mine working two track meets! I’ve mentioned before that I’m an athletic trainer, and thus occasionally I have to work long events. On Friday, I worked 12 hours at a college meet, then had about 7 hours until I had to be back at work for another 12 hour day working a high school meet! As I’m sure you can imagine, this meant shifting my typical weekend workout schedule.
Thankfully, I was still able to get my bike workout in Friday morning before I had to be at work. However, Saturday left no time or energy to get a workout in, much less my long run and long swim I was supposed to do. Because of this, I decided to make Saturday my “off” day, and turn Sunday into a long day! Yesterday, I got up early and ran 14 miles before going to church with my husband, and then after lunch, I did a 3 hour long ride on my bike! It was a long and tiring day, but every once in a while, it works out ok. Plus, I got to watch the Olympics while I rode!
I didn’t get my long swim in though, so my plan is to do it this morning since Mondays are usually my easy days. I’m ramping up my long swims this year to 1,000 meter repeats! Today I’m just doing two, so it shouldn’t be too bad.
