22 Weeks! Wohoo! This was an awesome week for me because the hubs and I got to take a baby moon! But, along with that, we also had our gender reveal parties with our family (via webcam), and our friends! I know, the most important thing you’re waiting on is the gender as well, so I’ll get right to that.
I made cupcakes that were colored either pink or blue, and then frosted them.
Then, when everyone came, I had them pick whether they thought we were having a boy or a girl, and they had to stand with either the Tiara sign or the Mustache sign! It was super fun building up the intensity! I wish I could post the group pics with everyone with their sign, but our foster kids are in the pics, and we can’t legally share those online. :/ But here’s the signs!
We had everyone all grab their cupcake (without peeking inside), and then open the cupcakes all together!
That’s right, we’re having a baby girl! Durango is a very proud older brother. Mya is grumpy she has to share the princesshood. And, in case you are wondering, we have named her already. However, we’ve decided not to share her name withe the public yet. Instead, we’ll wait till she’s born! And here’s our official announcement for Father’s Day!
So, on to the rest of my weekly update….
Workouts: Sunday I was able to bike an hour on my trainer without too much difficulty. Monday, I did my usual lifting, and then went to the gym to swim! I was able to do 1,800 meters in just under 40 minutes. However, I had to use the pull buoy most of the time because my belly is getting too heavy-my legs kept sinking! Haha, so pathetic. On Tuesday, I ran 5 miles in the morning, and then the hubs and I headed off to our baby moon/ hiking trip. As I mentioned in that post, we hiked 6 miles on Tuesday afternoon, 8 miles on Wednesday, and 5 miles on Thursday! I was pretty tired when we got home Thursday night! On Friday, I decided to go for a run because Saturday I had to work the entire day and wouldn’t be able to exercise. I knew it would be a bad idea to do a long run though since I’d but 24 miles on my pregnant body in the last 3 days! So, I decided on 6.4 miles and then a short 30 minute ride on my bike trainer.
Running Pace: We are officially in the 9-9:30 range now….I don’t feel tired or struggle with my bouncing belly at all now, I just can’t run very quickly anymore! It’s ok, as long as I’m still running, I’m happy.
Symptoms: Really nothing this week except some back pain after our first hike Tuesday. I’ve been feeling lots of kicking this week though!
Cravings: I had a slight desire for pastrami this week, so I had a warm pastrami sandwich one day. Hard to say if that was a craving though.:)
Aversions: None this week!
Weight gain: 6.4 pounds total! (I gained a whole pound this week!!!)
Clothes: Still not fitting into my maternity pants/shorts or most maternity shirts. I bought a few sundresses though, so I’ll wear those once my normal clothes don’t fit anymore-they’re getting a tad tight!
So that was my week! I’m looking forward to starting to shop for this baby girl! My mom has already begun the shopping She’s a proud grandmother!!
