Weekly Pregnancy Update: 25 Weeks!

25 Weeks pregnant! Wow! I can’t believe I only have 15 weeks left! The last few weeks have been flying by, which in a way is good because I’m excited to meet baby girl soon. However, on the other hand, that means I’m closer to having to go back to work, and I’m not really looking forward to spending my 3rd trimester working :/ It will go fast though, I’m sure! So, here’s the update from my week:

Gender: Girl!!!

Workouts: I had another good week of workouts this week! On Sunday, I biked an hour on my trainer, and then took a 1.2 mile walk with the fam and dogs! Monday, I had an easy day and just lifted and walked 1.2 miles with the dogs. Tuesday, I ran 5 miles in the morning. Wednesday was my big day-I biked an hour on my trainer, then swam 2,200yds at the pool, and then “raced” a 5k that night! You can check out my recap of that race here.

On Thursday, I was pretttttty dead from the big day Wednesday, so I just did an easy 3.5 mile run with the dogs. Friday, I was feeling more ambitious, so I hoped on my trainer for another 1 hr ride. Then Saturday morning, I was able to run 10 miles again! I was nervous about it because of how tired my legs felt at the beginning of the run, but once I loosened up, I felt great!

Running Pace: This week my pace was still 9-9:30. I’m really hovering around 9:15-20ish so I’m glad I’m staying consistent and not slowing too much!

Symptoms: My biggest symptom lately has been forgetfulness! I have mega pregnancy brain! I realized I’m likely deficient in omega-3 fatty acids since I’m averted from salmon, so I bought some DHA and have started taking that. Other than that, I’ve still had occasional bouts of nausea but not too bad.

Cravings:  No cravings but my sweet tooth is back-I wanted chocolate this week like I used to :)

Aversions: Still salmon

Weight gain: 8.8 pounds. I actually lost .6 this week… I would be concerned, but with last week’s 2.6 jump, I think my scale was being wacko. I had an appointment this week, and the doctor wasn’t concerned at all by my small size or weight gain.

Clothes: The belly has definitely grown this week. My jeans barely fit now with using a hairtye to “button” them. I would guess by the end of next week, I’ll be moving on to my maternity jeans. As for shirts, I can still wear most of my pre-pregnancy shirts just fine, but I tend to look fat instead of pregnant, so I’ve opted for exclusively wearing my maternity shirts now. :)

Appointments: I had an appointment on Thursday and baby girl is doing great! Her heart rate is steady at 153 like last appointment. The doctor measured my belly size and he said even though I’m small, my belly size is proportionate to what it should be right now. Next appointment is in another 4 weeks!

So that was my week! Nothing too crazy! I told the nurse at my appointment that this month has either been a lot easier, or I’m just finally getting used to being pregnant! Probably I’m just getting used to it. :)
