Weekly Pregnancy Update: 27 Weeks!

27 Weeks Pregnant! We are officially in the 3rd trimester, people! I’m kind of sad because I’ve had a lot of energy throughout the 2nd trimester, and other than occasional morning sickness, I’ve felt decent too. I know the 3rd trimester is when I’ll grow the most and become more and more tired and uncomfortable. :/ Oh well, all the closer to baby girl’s arrival! Here is how my LAST week of my 2nd trimester went!

Workouts: This was a pretty good week for workouts for me! Toward the end of the week, I started to feel some fatigue, but other than that, I was very energetic! On Sunday morning, the hubs and I took the dogs out for a 1.5 mile walk before church. Then after church, I  did my bike ride-got in 70 minutes on the trainer. Monday I did my usual lifting routine, and then headed to the pool for an awesome 40 minute swim! I did 2,400yds and felt great! Tuesday, I ran 6 miles in the morning, still feeling pretty good. Wednesday, the hubs took off work, so I did an hour bike ride in the morning, and then we took the dogs hiking for 3.5 miles in the afternoon! Thursday, I felt really ambitious, so I ran 7 miles in the morning and then added in some squats, deadlifts, and arm raises with my new “weights”. I discovered that our car seat is SUPER heavy, and I need to get used to carrying it. So, I put 10lb weights in the carrier to simulate a large baby, and then went to town! :)

Friday, I was feeling a little tired, but I still made it through my 1 hr bike ride feeling good, and then took the kids to the pool for the afternoon. I just relaxed in the sun. :) Saturday morning came, and I was feeling SUPER tired because my poor Durango was up in the night sick. :/ However, I was determined to get as much running in as I could before it got hot out, so I headed out for my run. After about 5 miles, I was feeling pretty good, so I kept going and finished up with 10 again! So glad I can still run a decent amount!!

Running Pace: I’m still averaging under 9:30 min miles. My weekly runs were faster, and my run yesterday was right at 9:20 average. Definitely a little slower than last week, but not too bad!

Symptoms: I felt a lot better this week after seeing my chiropractor last Saturday, and again on Wednesday! No more low back pain! Again, I started to feel symptoms of fatigue toward the end of the week, and I also had one day of morning sickness. :/ I can’t seem to completely shake it! Happens about once every two weeks. I can live with it though. :)

Cravings:  Same as last week-my body thinks it’s training, so I want all of the dessert! I’m trying refrain from indulging too much. :)

Aversions: Still just salmon thankfully!

Weight gain: 12 pounds! (.8 this week)

Clothes: Almost completely in maternity shirts. Still hanging on to my pre-pregnancy jeans and shorts though!

Appointments: My next appointment is in 2 weeks. I’m going to get my bloodwork done for the gestational diabetes test the end of this week though.

So that was my week! I’m looking forward to seeing what the 3rd trimester will be like!
