I had SUCH a great week of training this week! Spring has finally sprung around here, and it’s been great getting outdoors! Also, I had a “schedule-less” week of training as my next race on the calendar has yet to be determined! So I had a week of “free training” if you will. I very much enjoyed the flexibility of it as well! I mean, I love a good training schedule, but it’s nice to just do whatever you want sometimes too. So, here’s what I did this week!
Sunday: I got in an easy 1 hr bike ride on the trainer in the morning. Then in the afternoon, it was super nice, so we took the kids and the dogs all out for a 3 mile hike! We had a great time!
Monday: I didn’t think the baby would sleep long enough for me to fit in a swim at the gym, so I stayed home and did T25 Core Cardio and then some lifting. OF COURSE, she slept till 7:30am
Tuesday: We had a rough night of sleeping Monday night, but I dragged myself out of bed for a 6 mile run and I was so glad I did, because the sunrise was SO refreshing! Wednesday: Just another easy bike ride in the morning for me. 1hr total.
Thursday: Baby woke up early, so I missed my opportunity for a run before work. I was able to squeeze in a 4 mile progressive run in between teaching classes though!
Friday: I planned to swim since I missed my swim on Monday, but again, I didn’t think I’d have time, so I biked instead. I got in an hour before the baby woke.
Saturday: Beautiful day!!! In the morning, I headed out with the baby AND the dogs for a run! Just did a mile with the dogs and then 8 more with the baby while she slept! The dogs actually did great and didn’t get tangled up in the stroller at all! We all had a fun time.
Later in the afternoon, it was still super nice, so we went out for TWO hikes as a fam! Such a great day!
How was your week? Did you go out and enjoy the nice weather?
