We’ve had quite a week this week. Started off with our Anniversary, and finished with a Parental Invasion this week at our house! My parent’s came to visit for the weekend, so we’ve been having fun with them. I had to adjust my week’s workouts in order to get some quality work in before they got here. Here’s what I did for the week.
Sunday: T25 Alpha Ab Intervals in the morning. In the afternoon, I did my usual long bike ride for 3 hours and then did my 15 minute run immediately after.
Monday: I got up early and did a quick T25 Rip’T circuit and then 5 additional minutes of leg exercises, but that was all for the day because we took the rest of the day off to celebrate our anniversary!
Tuesday: I had a great morning run workout totaling 10.2 miles, and then in the afternoon I had a great swim as well! 3,500 meters for the day.
Wednesday: I did my usual 2 hour bike workout in the morning, and in the afternoon, I squeezed in a little T25 Dynamic Core.
Thursday: I decided to make Thursday my long run day since Saturday would be busy with the parents! Unfortunately, it was a super hot and humid day, so my long run didn’t go as planned (had to slow down a lot), but I was able to manage 15.6 miles. By the evening, I’d recovered enough and did my longer swim workout for the week: 3,600 meters.
Friday: Again, I wanted to spend more time with my parents this weekend, so we moved my long bike ride to Friday. I did 3:30 hours and then a 15 minute run! It was pretty tiring, but I did it!
Totals for the week:
T25: 3 workouts + 5 minutes of leg exercises (1 hour, 20 minutes)
Swim Halo Bench: 10 minutes
Swimming: 7,100 meters (2 hours, 21 minutes)
Biking: 8 hours, 30 minutes
Running: 29.8 miles (3 hours, 52 minutes)
Total Training Time: 16 hours, 13 minutes
Due to doing my long bike ride twice this week, next week will be a shorter training week, but I’m actually glad about that because next Sunday is our Olympic triathlon! I’m not tapering for it since it’s just a practice race, but it’ll be sort of nice to have slightly fresh-er legs.
